I just wanna let everyone know that I check my dA every day like clockwork-- I get on the comp, I open firefox, I look at dA, and then I do everything else. So just cause it looks like I haven't been here in a while doesn't mean I actually haven't.

SO ONTO MOAR FUNNER SUBJECTS

Ever since my computer stopped sucking (aka Tyler figured out my video card was too hot so we opened 'er up a popped my room fan up in thurr) I've been playing TF2 constantly. After playing for a while I figured 'Well, there has to be SOME fan art of it. I can't be the only one' and to my joyous discovery... there is. Lots of it. That's how I spent my whole day. Several days later, I thought 'Well if there's fanart of it, there has to be fanfiction'. That's how I spent my next day. xD

[Beware-- RANT IN SESSION-- skip if you don't care]

But man, I have to say, the mary-sues in this fandom are absolutely just... gross. I mean mary-sues as a whole deserve all the hatred in the world that's being wasted on less hate-able things but come ON people! "[Insert name here], a witty and otherwise awesome GAMER CHICK is somehow sucked into the violent world of TF2 and meets [insert fave character here] and [they fall in love/they do it/so much attention is paid to them that their head explodes]."

It's ALL the same. All of it. Now girls, I understand your love for these characters. I do.

I don't care what you guys think-- he's an assassin who pees in jars and THROWS IT AT PEOPLE.
We were meant to be together xD

BUT DO YOU SEE ME WRITING FANFICTION ABOUT IT? And worse-- SHOWING IT TO PEOPLE?! Jesus. I keep that madness in my diary where it belongs, people.

And if you're reading this and have written a sue fic for TF2, just walk away. No more computer for you, I'm taking away your internets.

Marginally worse are the sues who try to pretend they aren't-- the plots going something like this "A [female version of some character, usually called fem-scout or fem-sniper or something] enters the base. [Everyone hates her except for FAVE CHARACTER/Everyone loves her except for FAVE CHARACTER and then SURPRISING TWIST IN PLOT they fall in love/everyone grudgingly tolerates her but she still ends up doing everything with legs... and some without]."

Seriously-- those of you who have never even played this game, go to fanfiction.net, find the Team Fortress 2 category in Games and just skim over the fanfics. You will see these two plot lines repeated constantly. CONSTANTLY.

Good things have happened!

1- I GOT A JOB AT BATH AND BODY WORKS! I'm soooo excited. The perks are going to be great. I'm not leaving my job at the library, though ^^
